Naturally lightly sparkling (petillant naturel) wine made with Solaris and Ortega.

Rolling waves of bowls of ripe peaches on the nose, gliding into a gently savoury gambol of stone fruit. Amber in colour thanks to nine leisurely days of skin contact for the Solaris and four for the Ortega. 

Excellent paired with green Nocellara olives, salted Marcona almonds and welsh lamb chops grilled over hot coals.

Unfiltered and unfined. Fermented with indigenous wild yeast.

Serve: chilled at 8-10°C. May contain a little sediment.

Grapes: 90% Solaris, 10% Ortega

About us

Whinyard Rocks is a vineyard and a former farm workers' 16th century cottage transformed into a peaceful escape on our 550-acre fourth-generation sheep farm. It’s also the wild idea of a couple who met in the city but couldn't ignore the seductive call of the rolling hills of home.
