practicALities
The property is accessed via its own private lane and has parking for 4 cars. There is WiFi and mobile reception, but please note that they can both be patchy due to the secluded location. The kitchen has an electric hob & oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. Please take caution on the stairs as they are narrow and fairly steep. Bring wellies or boots for local walks and exploring.
EV Charging point
There is a Pod Point EV charger available for our guests to use during their stay at the cottage. There are 6 other electric car EV charging points nearby. The nearest is in Presteigne (11 min drive) at the Hereford Street Car Park which has 4 x 22kw chargers. There are also 2 x 7kw chargers in nearby Kington (13 min drive) at the Mill Street Car Park.
What 3 words location
Upon arrival at our cottage you’ll be greeted by a private lane hugged by a babbling brook and our vineyard. Say hello to the bustling flock of friendly ducks (whose eggs are available to pick up from the honesty box across the road) pheasants, wild rabbits and sheep who shelter under the oak and hazel trees nearby. Look up and you’ll be sure to spot a buzzard or red kite gliding above.
Take advantage of the ethereal first-morning light by throwing open the curtains and soaking up far-reaching views of the borderlands with a cup of local roastery coffee in our cosy dining nook. All that’s left to do after a day of exploring the waterfalls and woodlands of the valleys is to pour yourself a drink, light the fire and get lost in a good book, film or conversation.
